This is one of our old favourites in the small town of Pétervására which we’ve been visiting for the last 25 years. This hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms designed for sharing but, can be offered for single occupancy for a premium, given it’s location as a small town prices are very reasonable. The restaurant offers fixed menu or a la carte dining and the food here is very good complimented by a good selection of local wines.
This accommodation is generally used for when we are offering driven boar days and is a 20 to 40 minute distance from the grounds up in the ‘Bukk’ mountains bordering Slovakia.
The inn & restaurant is famed for its home-cooked, traditional Hungarian cuisine, prepared by seasoned chefs—think hearty goulash, lángos, locally-sourced game, fish, and tempting desserts. It has become a regional staple, offering a warm, family-like atmosphere complemented by a broad menu that includes vegetarian and gluten-free options
Nestled in charming Pétervására, the inn is surrounded by delightful destinations—the neo-Gothic “Palóc Cathedral” church, Keglevich Castle, and the scenic Vezekény fishing lake . For nature lovers, the area offers fishing directly from the hotel (2 km away) along with hiking and guided Nordic walking tours. Its central location also makes day trips to nearby attractions like Eger, Szilvásvárad, or the Mátra and Bükk ranges effortless.
With just eight elegantly furnished rooms (plus potential extras), this boutique inn delivers a peaceful countryside retreat. Each room features air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms with showers, minibars, and TVs—ensuring comfort year-round
