Paks is an unassuming little town located on the west bank of the river Danube about an hour and half’s drive south of Budapest. Probably best known for its atomic power station and an average football team in Hungary. It is surrounded by mainly low lying farmland with wooded nature reserves dotted all around. This area holds large numbers of Boar and Red Deer. The layout of the farmland and wooded refuges for game make this an ideal habitat. Given the mainly flat lie of the land it lends itself to easy walking and stalking compared to some of our other venues.

Our colleagues in Paks are super hospitable and enthusiastic guides, coupled with a big selection of high seats and fed rides, some with trail cams to monitor numbers to get you your best chance of success.

We have access to estate rifles here and is another of our personal favourites given the mix of hospitality and animal numbers. Accommodation is usually the Energy Hotel which we feel, punches well above its four star rating.
